Hi All,
  With a little patience and my trusty VOM, I discovered that the little
"stab-lock" on the right turn signal wire had pierced the wire for the car,
but hadn't pierced the trailer wire.  I wasn't getting continuity from the
tail lamp connection to the junction of the trailer harness and the
connector wire.  I reconnected them and all was well.  I did buy another
box however for $5.00 cheaper than U-Haul at the local Wal-Mart.
