If you could find one, typically price of u-pulled tranny in the yards I go to
here
around Philly are around $50.  One yard used to charge half-price if it was
raining.
I once helped a 70 yr. old man pull a bus engine in the rain, he only payed $37.
 Unfortuneatly (sp?) I rarely run across vanagons in the yards around here.

The yard will pull the engine for you for an additional $75.
