Just a note that I still have a handful of '86-91 complete tach clusters for
sale, brand new, for $129.95.  This is the entire thing, except that the
speedo is in km/hr so you'd have to re-use yours (unless you live in
Canada).  Also have three with digital clock missing for $20 less (looks
like same clock as Golf/Jetta?).  I will include, on request, a copy of an
article provided to my by Bob Donalds (Boston Engine) that gives basic
instructions on wiring this to your earlier Vanagon (not a difficult job).
