A really neat compendium of old Vanagon road tests is "Volkswagen
Bus-Camper-Van, 1979-1989," by Brooklands Books. Here is the
amazon.com description, which says it is backordered.

I got mine from Neato/Limbo, which is probably a cooler place to get
it.
http://www.bcn.net/~limbo/frames.html and click "the store."

No Car&Driver tests there, but every Road&Track test and lots more
from the UK, Australia, etc. 29 tests in all, including Oettinger
Caravelle 3.2.
