I also have been looking for a VW fiche reader. It's absolutely impossible
to get one used. I've been looking for over 6 months now. You can still
buy new models. There are two companies that offer them in the US. They
call them "Jumbo Fiche" readers. Here's the model info:

1. Eyecom Model EC3100 (http://www.zytrondfw.com/eyecom/r3100.html)
2. Indus Model 4601-01J (http://www.zytrondfw.com/indus/4601-01j.html)

The best price I found was $399
(http://www.swiftsite.com/mgs/jumbo.html#pict). Too expensive for me!

Now if we can get a group purchase .........

Subject: Re: Micro Fiche reader

I need a VW Micro Fiche reader (or one with a big deck) if anyone on the
list
know where I can get one. I have tried to call around to the local dealers
as they are all going to computers now, but they all say the same thing "We
are keeping our fiche readers as a back up." However I know the dealers in
other parts of the US have been using the computer setup much longer than we
have here in South Jersey (we needed to get electricity so that we could
plug
the computers in first :).
I will pay a resonable price for a used VW specific microfiche reader.

Thanks,
