Sounds like the problem I was having.  My AFM is bad and also my throttle
plate is sticking open and not allowing the throttle position switch to close
after the motor is warm.  The first thing I found just by checking the
readings on the AFM with a multimeter per Bentley.  The second problem, I had
suspected but the only way I finally had it confirmed was to buy a digitool.
I have new 2.1l AFMs for $120 (same one you would get from the dealer for
over $500) if you need one.
