I bought mine at Sears for not that much (it is called "VW transmission plug tool" and comes in its own little plastic pouch and everything). However this tool worked great on my Jetta, it stank on my '85 manual tranny Vanagon (because that darn exhaust pipe was in the way of the drain plug). I used an old Jetta/Rabbit lug bolt and a pipe wrench as my "special tool". The head of the lug bolt is the right size and this allows you to get in there and get the plug out. Hope this helps, now back to building the pyramids with only a come-along and some logs :) Ken Wilford http://www.vanagain.com John 3:16 Office (856)-765-1583 Shop (856)-327-0027 Fax (856)-327-2242
