dont know what youre talking about "center pedestal type captains seats" but
i will tell you how to remove the middle 2 person bench seat from a pass van.

1- take up aluminum sliding door threshold that holds carpet down
2- roll back carpet starting at front to back, around middle seat
3- remove bolts that hold middle seat to track
4- slide it out
