Yet another cold weather problem:
When the temp. falls along with the snowflakes I detect the most annoying problem
My defroster fan takes vacation
At low and medium speed nothing happens at all and when I put it in high, there is the noice of a screeming pig comming out from the dashboard along with as much air as of a decent fart
very effective against fog !!
But before I start ripping the dash apart I thought Ill ask you guys
1 this is because of the fan and not the swich right ??
2 is there a way of changing the bearings in the fan OR change it for some other not so vulnerable out of the
wreckyard fan, since a new fan is 3000 Swedish kroner ( bout 400 US $ )

I know that there is Vanagons in the wreckyard but it would be a pain in the ass to go through all that work and end up with one that is just as bad and its hard to try it out if the problem like the one Ive got only occurs when below zero degrees Celcius . It also seems like a common fault since the dealer said that " we normally have fans on the shelfs but right now theyre sold out "

So what to do ??

BTW, I really LOVE the screensaver
