Greetings everyone, new to the list here. I am a former (74)/former (81)/former(87) Vanagon owner, ready to get back in the game. Basically I'm looking for a strong running Westfalia in the $2,000 -- $4,000 price range. I prefer the post 1980 buses for their water cooled engines and greater (generally speaking) comforts, but am not married to the new body style by any means. In short, I'm looking to buy the most Westfalia for my money, and don't want to spend the majority of my time underneath it on the side of the road. I've been through the archives, contacted some folks there, and am waiting for replies. Also, I contacted a couple of folks on the SEVWC site, and am waiting on them as well. I'm in North Carolina, so am mainly looking in the southeast, but not exclusively. Any ideas? Thanks. TJK -- Todd J.
