Expert advice on dealing with wipers on a Vanagon from someone who lives
in the rainy Northwest:

Go to 21" on the driver's side and 19" on the passenger side along with
the programmable delay relay as mentioned on Vanagon.com.  Maximum
visibility, especially for the taller drivers among us. Any
mathematicians out there who want to calculate the percentage increase
in swept area?  At least I know you get a minimum of 1 1/2" more at the
top of the windshield.  The 21" just touches the rubber at the top left
side, and the 19" does the opposite.

You will have to buy a pair of each (I like the Bosch refillables) but
you will be ready for the next wiper change way ahead of time!
