Someone told me a few weeks ago that you can use a Beetle shaft instead of
the diesel one (supposed to be the same length and will fit).  Can anyone
confirm this?  I have a couple Beetle trannies that I can measure, but I have
sold all my Vanagon diesel stuff so I would need a measurement from one of
them to compare it to.
