There is a commercial product that comes in a 1-gallon bucket called Berryman' B9 Chemdip (or something remarkably similar in name). It is basically carbolic acid, in a bucket, with a little parts sieve. Costs about $8 for a pail. 20 minutes of soaking in this, and motor parts come out looking (and smelling) like brand new. Use it for all your small hardware, EGR valve, etc. Cleans even dried-on Wheatena. Cheers, G. What should I clean my engine parts with? My rocker arms are black and one is cacked with carbon buildup. Is it OK to use normal engine degreaser and a toothbrush or should I use something else?
