The mirror just fell out of the mount on our 86 Vanagon GL (the right side)
Fortunately, the heater wires saved the glass. Just pressing it back in the
mount didn't hold long.  So what to do?  I'm thinking some glue that
would securely hold it to the motorised mount, yet permit it to be pulled
out if necessary.

Has anybody else had to deal with this?  Thank you for sharing ideas.
