Thanks Karl, but I'm a rookie here.  I don't know what an ECU is.  I just got
off the phone with the previous owner (my dad) who is telling me that the
dealer told him that this van is a 4.0 l. Porsche engine....Is that possible?
 Again, how can I tell?

I'm in the Philly 'burbs...and I'd like to keep the repair local.  Thanks for
the tip, though...I'll be in the Boston area in April.  Always good to know
