The EGR needs to be reset just like the infamous OXS light on the
waterboxers.  Follow the speedometer cable on the driver's side down to a
black bax under the front grille (need to get down on your back under the
van). There's a black button.  Push it in with a pen or other small
implement.  Voila!  The EGR light goes out!  Now, schedule your van for the
appropriate maintenance! :-)
