Minor additional suggestion based on my experience putting on a poptop if
you're going to clean or change the canvas:

Take it off the van.  I'm serious.  It's not that hard.  3 bolts on each hinge,
2 screws on each leg, and it makes working on it MUCH easier.

Don't leave the van out in the rain though.  :-o
