I'm interested in putting Mercedes alloys [from ~1978 series 300] on a 1987
Vanagon.  Would appreciate my list friends' advice on....

-Front bolts and rear studs (changeout, replacement, etc)
-Offset (spacers needed?)
-Machining (hub clearance)
-Typical junkyard pricing experience

Tried to get to the Archives.  Maybe someone could remind me (p-mail).  The
listings/indexes I received show no subject matter.
