After reading about the Camping World cupholders and seeing
they come in brown as well as black, I headed down there this
morning.  Now, having replaced a black Kmart one with a brown
CW (my int is brown/tan) here is my initial reaction:

The CW is not the same make as Kmart.  It is not as precisely
made, so it doesn't close as tight--sags a little and may
rattle.  The adjusting mechanism similarly is a little looser.
The screw holds are about the same horizontily but not
vertically.

I'll experiment with this one driving, but am thinking the
black (only) Kmart ones are better--when you can find them.
