As I was heading for home, starting down the mountains outside Nogales, AZ after a pleasant day combing old mine tailings, my trusty Westy just up and quit on me, leaving me stranded some 15 miles from anything, and it was getting dark. Three hour later I mananged to flag down the first car that came my way. A couple from Seattle who had decided before they even left that they would travel this same mountain route. But, my poor Westy, it just stopped dead going up a hill. After a $140 tow down the mountain to the Pepe Boys in Nogales, AZ, a frustarating afternoon was spent trying to get it going. There is fuel at the injectors. There is spark at the plugs. The timing is fine. But, the @#$% thing does not start. Cranks like a champ, but not a whimper, nor a cough. What is up with my rolling home? John Tucson, AZ
