re: What a great way to sell more vehicles! Simply fit a part that is vital, that you know will fail after xxx miles. Then stop making the part. Besides xxx miles, it's been 20 years. VWoA is a little weak, but not totally atypical. These aren't Mercedes. As mentioned, the part can be fabricated.
