Probably not. The offset of Audi wheels is different in the wrong direction for Vanagons. The wider the tire is that you use, the more likely it is that the tire will hit part of the front suspension. This is much more of a problem on 2WD Vanagons than Syncros. Per has a Syncro Check the ET number stamped into the rims. Vanagon wheels have ET38 for narrow tires and down to ET23 for wider tires. There are modifications needed to Audi wheels to put them on Vanagons even ignoring the tire interference issue. This is not something for most people to do on their own. Check Michael Sullivan's web site for more info on this subject. Mark Mark Tim Root wrote: > > I saw Per's post that all late model Audi wheels have the same bolt pattern as our Vanagons. I just looked at a badly smashed Audi with 16 inch wheels. The tire size that is on the wheels now is 225/50zr16. These are nice looking wheels with five wide "spokes". Will these wheels work on my '84? > > Tim Root > Portage, WI > 84 Vanagon > 90 Fox Wagon > 97 Jetta
