Thanks for all the responses as to how to remove the tape gum..

Now, my next question is..

What kind of tape *should* I have used, that's waterproof, but that wouldn't
be such a tremendous pain in the butt to remove?
(Since they won't guarantee my sunroof won't leak, even if I seal the dang
thing shut!)
