Well, thanks to everyone for the information that you've
sent me privately about oil filters.  The links and advice
were fantastic.  I didn't realize that Fram filters were
such junk.  I will ceremoniously remove and toss into the
trash my brand new one just installed on the vanagon.  I've
got to get them off my other cars now...
