I had so much good advice on my clutch problem I'll ask about another problem... I have a frayed cable in the engined compartment. I don't know what it does and can't find it in Bentley, but it looks like it needs to be replaced. The cable connects to the lever arm where the accelerator cable terminates. Also connected to the lever arm is a spring that I assume helps the arm return to neutral position when you let off on the accelerator cable. The other end of the frayed cable heads toward the driver's side of the engine compartment and terminates into a big diaphram-looking thingy that has small, vacuum-like hoses running out of it. I don't know what it does either. Does anyone know what the cable does and is called so I can ask for a replacement? All this is in a '87 Wolfsburg Westfalia Weekender, 2.1 digifant, water cooled. Many thanks. -- Tim Wise '87 WWW
