I am curious as to the situation regarding free air pumps at gas
stations.
Here in New York, the last gas station I knew of that had free air
converted to a machine a short time ago. The machines are a real pain.
They need two quarters and give just enough air time to do 2 tires, then
you need 2 more quarters.
I am sure this will be a boon to the tire companies because people
definitely check their pressures less often and thus wear out their
tires faster.
