I've had 180kmh (about 112mph) out of my Holden 3.8 V6-powered 84 Caravelle on several occasions, and did not explore further, though there was still at least 10kmh left. Gearing won't allow more than 200 though, I suspect. Wait till I have my Subaru EG33 and Porsche trans fitted and I'll see what it tops-out at. My 1975 1800, with a 1916 kit, used to hit 140 when overtaking on the flat, and still accelerating reasonably well; it developed probably a bit over 100hp. Being brutal, my old 1957 with stock split-case trans and single-port 1600 would easily hit 130 (I pegged the speedo solidly once coasting down a very long steep hill; somewhere over 100mph). Yes, I'm a bit of a speed bug. Andrew Grebneff 84 Caravelle GL V6 69 LHD Kombi-Corvair 75 Kombi 1800 derelict 86 Toyota Corolla DX 1.8 diesel 89 Toyota Corona Select Saloon 2.0 diesel
