If you have the sticker on the driver's door post beneath the fuse box, you can
see the code there. It is also on the metal plate under the driver's seat, if I
remember correctly. Am not 100% sure about that one.

The Syncro was introduced in 1985 in Europe, 1986 in North America. I am not
sure about other markets like Africa, Asia and Australia/NZ
