I agree with Marshall.  There is no way that they could've responded this
quickly to the hack.  It takes alot more time to revamp production and change
the motherboard, which they would have to do in order to stop you from doing
the hack.
I am sure eventually they may change the configuration to the point that the
units will no longer be desirable.  But this probably won't happen for at
least 6 months and really may never happen.
The statement on the website is probably just to try and discourage folks who
don't know any better.
