Long shot chance at mooing cause,

A '78 Volvo I had developed a clogged breather tube which resulted in
enough  pressure in the crankcase to cause air forced past the seals to
give a very loud honking sound.

I am trying to visualize a similar situation in a van.  possible I
suppose.
