Jeff. I was looking through an Americian JC Whitney catalogue that one of the list members sent me over. I saw those overhead parcel shelves and also thought what a great idea. I emailed JCW and inquired about these shelves and if they fitted the Vanagon. No luck. They claim there is not enough call for them to have one made for the Vanagon. Personally I think it is a great idea and would solve a lot of clutter problems. Lets get into JCW and see if they can be talked into obtaining one. I am sure if enough of us are interested then they may look at this issue seriously Ray Hunnam Penrith Australia. -----Original Message----- From: Jeffrey R <Oxroad@AOL.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Date: Wednesday, 29 March 2000 7:53 Subject: mounting gauges on ceiling? >Has anyone thought about or actually mounted aux. gauges up by the rear view >mirror, on the ceiling of the cockpit? > >I saw an interior photo of a bus on eBay that has the a/c vents up above the >rear view mirror and it looks like the visors are mounted under the a/c >vents.
