Subject:wheel pattern, offset, sizes?

Guys,

What wheel bolt pattern and offset does the Vanagon use (specifically '86
GL, 2WD)?  I heard it uses 5x112.. is this so?  If so, what's the offset
and preferred tire sizes?  I have a set of 15" wheels from my '98 Passat on
5x112 pattern and I believe 45mm offset with 195/60R15 tires (Michelins)
that I could donate to his cause IF they will fit properly.  If not, well
it was a nice thought :)
