A week and two days ago, on Saturday, we had a brief rain storm that left in its wake the most beautiful double rainbow I have ever seen. The bottom rainbow had 4 or 5 separate bands, each with all the colors! The next day was my elder daughter's birthday. While she and her sister were playing in the driveway a hawk dove down across the driveway next to them, being chased by two crows. As the birds flew away, a lone white downy feather floated down off of the hawk and my birthday girl retrieved it! The following day, Monday, I walked into the office and one of my co-workers told me about a local Westy for sale cheap!! Now ask me if I believe in power signs! Wishing you all your own sunset peacock, Marc Perdue Jason Willenbrock wrote: > actually, if anyone knows about native american lore, this is considered a > power sign. i myself experienced one while driving my 90 vanagon on fifth > street bridge over the clark fork river in missoula montana. i was driving > along during mid day and all of the sudden a huge osprey flew (soared > actually) five feet in front of my windsheild with a rainbow trout in its > mouth. the trout was atleast 12-14 inches in length and still kicking in the > birds tightly clenched beak. this was a very moving sight. bill, i would > feel blessed that this happened, only good can come from this. > jason > 82 westy > 90 gl > > >From: Dana Morphew <kdm@WHIDBEY.COM> > >Reply-To: Dana Morphew <kdm@WHIDBEY.COM> > >To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > >Subject: Re: Very strange sighting > >Date: Mon, 3 Apr 2000 07:42:31 -0700 > > > >We have had two peacocks hanging around here since late summer.
