Hi all, Have my engine taken apart at a local shop to have new cylinder heads and piston kit installed. Today when I looked at it, I noticed that the mechanic must have slipped with the piston pin reamer, and a small chip is missing exactly in the corner where the lower rubber sealing ring for the cylinder liner goes. I am kind of upset about this, especially since the case is in such good condition. The mechanic and shop foreman tell me that it's no big deal, and they will use 570 locktite (?) sealant to fill it the chip. The rubber sealing ring alone would not seal the chip, it's probably too deep. Maybe some of you can think of another alternative. I'm not a big fan of gooey sealants bridging gaps. I'm sure it would hold up long enough for the warranty to be over. Any opinions are welcome. Harald '90 westy
