Tried to price parts at my local VW dealer. Though Vanagons were never sold in New Zealand the dealer has a parts CD, but cannot locate parts unless a chassis # is provided. This means if I want to check the price locally against the US price, say of a 1987 tachometer, I cannot do it, because they have no way of finding the correct entry without a 1987 chassis #, which of course I don't have. Anyone know of a way around this? Is the dealer just being lazy? The Subaru agent has told me the same thing. Andrew
