I just put my '86 Syncro front axle back together and the front wheel bearings have tight radial seals on both sides of the wheel bearing housing to keep contaminants out of the bearing. The front hub rotates in one seal & the outer CV joint in the other. If these seals are old, hard and/or dry, they might make a noise especially at very low speed. I don't think such a noise will hurt anything but a SMALL drop of oil on each seal would be a good test and probably do all four seals some good anyway. As for the puppy noise, I don't have a clue! Regards, John
