Yes, it is true that one has to sign up for 3 months, makes the unit cost $65.00 more. Has nothing to do with the mods, which are still easy to work around - I'm following this very closely. Have you ever heard of having to reflash a computers bios? That's basically what is now needed. Not in aany way a show-stopper. Marshall Ruskin BTW: We should continue this thread on P-Mail, as most listees don't care, and it ends up in the archives. ;>) >I have not opened mine yet to check, but read this: > >http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1006-200-1659536.html?pt.ms..feed.ne_home > >Bill > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Marshall Ruskin" <mruskin@PANGEA.CA> > >Here's a bunch: >(1st is the biggest, 2nd is the web-board discussions, 3rd is >detailed....) > >http://www.i-opener-linux.net/ > >http://www.kenseglerdesigns.com/cgi-bin/UltraBoard/UltraBoard.pl?Session= > >http://coyote.toon.org/~baron/ >http://pc-tek.hypermart.net/netzero.html >http://www.evernex.com/iopener/ > >http://shoe.afternet.org/~rubin/iopener/ > >Enjoy - hope your internet service doesn't charge by the hour! > >Marshall Ruskin >84 Westy > >>Got mine...
