In a message dated 00-04-18 00:18:07 EDT, you write: << Now, over the years, I learned to only believe half of what he said, and since the divorce, I always pump the gas at full force!! Any thoughts on this? >> I do the same thing as your ex and am going on 29 years married. I usually run the gas in at full force until it shuts off the first time and then go slow till it starts to run out the filler. I can get three more gallons in the Dodge mini-van that way, less in a Vanagon. If I don't fill it up this way, the number of miles I get per tank varies widely, based on how the sensitive the shutoffs for the nozzles are. This process takes a bit more time, but helps extend the time between fillups, which is often too short. Tom '71, '78 and '85 Westys
