I recently replaced the battery in my Westie, and after prying/wedging the
old one out, I took a 2 ft length of nylon strap (from the don't
-throw-it-out-it-will-be-useful-someday pile) and threaded it through the 2
openings on the side of the new battery. It passes underneath the battery,
with the free ends folded on top. Next time I need to remove the battery, I
can pull it up with the strap.
