It does expand when hot. I learned that the hard way, after I filled the tank on the Syncro once. The fuel was cold, after sitting in the tanks in the ground under the station (it was spring, last year), and I filled the tanks extremely full like always, the level was up in the neck. When I got home, the fuel was sligthly heated by the engine, and was spilling all over the rear fender. >anyway, you get the idea: gasoline is powerful stuff, and can be VERY >dangerous if not handled properly. like a lot of other stuff in our >modern lives, we tend to take it for granted (like 4000 lb machines >that travel at 88 feet per second!). so be careful out there. ;) You know, if the gasoline powered motor vehicle was invented and introduced today, in the form and function it has developed to, it would never been legal to own and operate such death machines. In this world's safety minds, it would be illegal to drive around in something that kills this much, literally fire bombs with all this explosive fuel, not to talk about how it damages the environment.
