The only way to repair your bad syncro on 3rd gear is to rebuild the little devil or put up with it until it wastes 3rd gear & the slider at the worst possible moment...:).... $995 exchange for a 3yr warranty unit. < I have an 85 Westy 4 speed, the transmission grinds going into 3rd gear from second. >> Daryl of AA Transaxle Duvall, WA.
