In response to your expertise in things locking, I would like to know your
recommendations regarding a recurring problem I have with the gas cap lock
for my Westfalia Syncro.  In the winter, after driving during wet,
freezing weather, my gas cap lock is frequently frozen.  The cover over
the lock is intact and operates properly.  Any recommendations for
preventing the lock from freezing?

Are there, to the best knowledge of the list, gas caps available for the
Syncro which are not locking types?
