In Raleigh area, there is Umstead State Park Off of NC 70 between Raleigh
and Durham. It is adjacent to the airport, so you hear some air traffic
until 10:00 p.m., but it is nice. Farther north, at exit 186 or 189 off
I-85 Falls Lake Reservoir is quiet and nice.
Sorry to hear about Grandma, we pray that here passing was peaceful and
timely,

Grandma died this morning and I'm going to Charlotte, NC to the funeral.
I'll be leaving Friday evening from Richmond VA and would like to camp a
little north of Raleigh or at about the halfway point. Can any of you NC
folks suggest a nice inexpensive camp area around there?
Thanks,
Dave C.
