Hi Gang,

I finally got that 86 Wolfsburg Edition Syncro Westy Weekender home
yesterday. I guess that's what it's called.

It's rusty, dents in all the wrong places and the tranny is apart is four
boxes. The PO tired to rebuild the trans himself. I comes with the poptop and
the lower bunk but has no fridge or stove. Instead, there is a single
rear-facing seat, with storage underneath, just behind the driver. Oh yeah,
it's supposed to have locking diffs.

I apologize for not getting back sooner to those of you who expressed
interest in getting parts. Now that I have it home, I got a chance to further
evaluate the situation. I came to the conclusion that it is just beyond my
mechanical and financial ability to restore.

It's now for sale to the highest bidder.
