Hi,

I'm a week into owning my first Vanagon... We have a 1984 GL that does not
have the folding seat in the back... we eventually want to change it around
so it's somewhat like a 1988 Wolfsburg... it had rear facing seats and a
nifty table that folds out. Anyway, I went to a second hand parts source
(e.g. VW junk yard) and they want to charge $450     for the rear folding
seat including the pad for over the engine. Having no experience with this
kind of thing, I was wondering if this seems like a fair price?

I am also wondering if anyone knows of a good source for used parts in the
Seattle area? And/or the internet?

Yet another question.... Can anyone recommend a good repair guide for the
water-cooled Vanagon and where I might be able to find it?
