Kris: You don't mention if it works on AC or 12v. I assume that you are talking about difficulties with propane operation? The fridge is really fairly simple in its operation, and getting it to work on propane shouldn't be difficult if everything is operational. Last year, my fridge suddenly went from making ice in an hour to not being able to chill down more than 15-20 degrees below ambient temp. I pulled it out, pulled apart the combustion chamber, and found that a little caterpillar had decided to make his home in there. When the fridge lit for the first time after that, he was charred to a crisp, but the husk was just enough to prevent efficient combustion, thereby not creating enough heat from the burner. I cleaned it out, reassembled and voila! good as new, and back to making ice in an hour or two. :-) Brent Christensen '89 GL Syncro Westy Santa Barbara, CA > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM]On Behalf > Of Kris B. > Sent: Monday, May 08, 2000 5:48 AM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Fridge Blues > > > My dometic frige in the westy doesn't cool at all.
