Funny, I never noticed a difference in the width, the one problem I do have,
the seat back locking brackets on my van do not match the "new" seat back.
Not a problem for me as no one sits back there in my van, but it does rule
out placing a child seat.  I normally have the middle seat out as well (to
make room for rafting gear).

My whole van is something of a death trap on wheels, So anyone planning to
write me to point out how dangerous it is not to have the seat back fully
locked in place etc, I know already :)
