>We have all of the receipts and two standard commonly used shop manuals that >seem to point out that even an idiot should know not to overfill the oil. Yes indeed. But it don't take an idiot, it just it takes an ape trying too hard to not break the budget that does not allow enough undisturbed time to verify each and every step of the procedure. And the last step of the procedure. Verify oil level, add oil, start motor to establish full flow, shut off motor, verify oil level nominal. 3 minutes of compromise can bite. Don't know what you do for a livin' but if you were a stock broker and you screwed up 1 buy/sell transaction in a thousand 'cause you got distracted by the office intern and pushed the button 2 seconds after the bell, are you an idiot? No, your just an ape who got flea bit. And this time, it has repercussions. If you are the client and you bought, do you demand he make up the gains that would have occured 'cause it opens a point higher 10 seconds post-bell? What if it opens up and you sold and the bell says 7, craps, you lose, next player. (rakerakerake) (For more info, see my class outline for Political Economics 101, Engineering Asset Shifts.
