        This is indirectly vanagon related cuz it's for my
engine conversion. I am looking for the speedometer gear
drive ratio for a 98 Jetta TDI with manual tranny (the final
drives are different so I can guessing the speedometer drive
ratios are as well). The Bentley for that car is lacking this
tidy bit of info about the speedometer. Or even the number
of teeth on the drive gear that is attached(maybe?) to the
differential - it's hard to tell whether this gear is on
the drive shaft or part of the differential cog.
