Was the term 'Vanagon' ever used in germany? I was under the impression they still use the term 'bus' - pronouced 'Bou-ssss' How about Volkswagen? I seem to remember it pronounced 'Fulks-vagen' from a german lady I met on a plane. There is also a short form: VW, but we say 'vee-double-u', they say 'Fao-v' (can't think of a way to write how to pronouce the french '' in english...to sound german...) ric At 12:29 PM 26/05/00 -0700, Dan Nims wrote: >Isn't it wonderful that we can use the internet to help folks around the >world improve their command of English.
